20th April 2022 Wing Boarding: Llanfairfechan Wind Direction: ESE Wind Stength: F4 Surf / Sea State: Chop Air Temperature: 15 Sea Temperature: 9.3 Weather: Sun Max Speed: Distance Covered: More breeze than forecast kicked in late morning so tried smaller 1550 foil with 6.2m wing. Trickier to get going so drifted down wind and current. I think I shall be able to improve pumping technique though unsure if I'll get up as easily and early as with Naish 2000 foil. Gusty so good practice controlling foil, with quite a few breeches. Moved to 5.3m as not used for a while and wanted to see if improved technique helped bottom end, but couldn't transition to flying (almost) then wind died completely as went too E and long drift in and downwind. Learnt some more about my gear and pumping. |
